With a spectacular runway show by Antonio Grimaldi, one of Europe's most distinguished haute couture designers, and several minutes of standing ovations unlike anything witnessed in the region, the 8th International Fashion Festival – IFF Porto Montenegro 2026, organized by Fabrika Agency and Porto Montenegro, came to a magnificent close.
Due to adverse weather conditions, this year's IFF Porto Montenegro, originally planned to take place at the spectacular Jetty 1 venue in Porto Montenegro, was entirely relocated to the Dom Vojske venue in Tivat. Nevertheless, as numerous guests and representatives of the international fashion industry emphasized throughout the festival, the three runway shows presented—Liwen Liang, Weinsanto, and Antonio Grimaldi—proved that while a venue may enhance the experience, it is never what defines the quality or impact of a fashion show. Three entirely different collections, three distinctive creative visions, and three exceptional fashion narratives demonstrated that creativity, craftsmanship, and the strength of the designer remain at the heart of every outstanding runway presentation.
Despite the change of venue, all three runway shows were presented to the highest standards, featuring remarkable collections, a strong visual identity, exceptional production, and an energy that defined the entire festival. As many guests noted, truly outstanding collections and world-class designers shine regardless of the location, and this year's IFF Porto Montenegro proved exactly that.
On the runway in Tivat, Antonio Grimaldi delivered the grand finale of this year's festival. Following the final walk, the audience rewarded the designer with several minutes of standing ovations rarely seen in this part of Europe, confirming his show as one of the most spectacular fashion events ever organized by Fabrika in Montenegro.
The festival concluded with a collection by one of Europe's leading haute couture designers, whose work once again demonstrated why his name belongs among the world's fashion elite. Guests had the opportunity to admire magnificent couture creations distinguished by sculptural silhouettes, architectural asymmetry, sophisticated hand embroidery, and impeccable craftsmanship—a perfect fusion of Italian artisanal excellence and contemporary aesthetics.
Particular attention was also drawn to a selection from Antonio Grimaldi's recently launched ready-to-wear collection. Although his name has long been synonymous with haute couture, Grimaldi has achieved remarkable success in this segment as well. His ready-to-wear line is already available in some of the world's leading fashion markets, including New York and Paris. By presenting part of this collection in Tivat, audiences discovered another dimension of his creative work, bringing his distinctive design signature to a wider international audience.
Antonio Grimaldi is one of Europe's most respected haute couture designers and an invited member of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, with his couture collections showcased on the official Paris Haute Couture Week calendar. Over more than three decades, he has developed a distinctive creative language rooted in exceptional craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless elegance. His creations have been worn by princesses, members of royal families, actresses, and prominent women around the world, earning him international recognition and a distinguished place on the contemporary haute couture scene.
